Introducing Artesands

To begin with, the brand includes  a body positive line: “Rock your curves – you are the Artist and the Arte.” right at the top of the About section of their website. And I immediately felt embraced and welcomed.
Artesands is an Australian swimwear brand that is crafted to perfection to enhance the beauty of your curves. Each piece is styled and sculptured with great bust support, secure contouring power mesh and beautiful fabrications. Designed to flatter and shape your body.
I couldn’t be more excited about my latest swimwear collaboration as I get to share with you my favorite swimsuits. The first thing that really struck me is that they are all classic styles and I simply adored that. I have been on the lookout for these types of swimsuits in my size for a long time and Artesands made that wish a reality.
I don’t have to explain to you how tricky it is to find classic swimwear staples when you are plus size. Each style is well made, it fits my curves perfectly and most importantly I feel supported. Note that they also go from a size 14 and up to a size 24.
The first swimsuit I modeled was the bandeau one piece that will be released in August / September 2018 as part of the new range of the brand.
I love this style because I feel like it gives me a proper lift and I always had a thing for black classic one piece swimsuits. To me this is a true staple and I will be able to rock this beauty for a day by the pool in L.A or at the beach. I can even take it to one of my Yoga Sculpt classes and feel confident.
I am wearing a US size 12 (AUS size 16) in all the swimsuits and the fit is on point.
Sadly, the Black Twist Front Multifit Tankini Top is already sold out.
I felt super sexy in this swimsuit, because it offers full coverage around the body but I also felt like my cleavage looked wonderful in it. It reminded me of these classic swimsuits you would find in the 1950s except that this time it was in my size!
And the whole collection is really reminiscent of my pinup roots, with a lot of high waist bottoms, so I felt right at home wearing each style.
The next style I wore was the Black Twist Front Cup Underwire Bra in a classic black color. I wore it with the Black High Waist Briefs. And I simply adore this style, because again I feel it offers the type of coverage I am looking for and it manages to stay elegant and timeless. If you don’t have a flat tummy and are shy about showing it, this will quickly become your favorite bikini. Again this can easily be style with a sheer cover up, 1960s shades and right away you will feel like a Bond Girl.
This next two piece swimsuit is probably my all time favorite, because it feels effortless in terms of fit for the bikini top. And I genuinely love the way I look in this design.
I wear a lot of high waist briefs even in the lingerie sets that I review, but it was nice for me to wear a style that felt slightly less covered. This is still considered high waist and I find the shape to be suitable for my shape. I was kind of obsessed with this whole look and this is probably my favorite swimsuit out of the bunch I wore. It gives me a more modern look and I absolutely love it.
This style will be available by June 2018 on the Artesands website.
Last but not least, I wore The Baroque Spot Twist Front Cup Underwire Bra  with matching Baroque Spot High Waist Brief. This is a pinup classic style. I only regretted not styling my hair in pin curls for that one, as it would have been a classic pinup moment.
But we really went for an overall more modern look for this session as I wanted to show that all these swimsuits are perfect for the modern woman. You don’t have to create a pinup look to appreciate the classic retro shapes of these swimsuits.
A huge thank you to Jason Kamimura Photography for taking photos of these amazing swimsuits and helping me fulfill my vision.
